From Rick Sawicki: Every Memorial day at our model airplane flying field we have our own observance by having a "Warbirds Fly In" . Members bring their scale models of "Warbird" aircraft and spend the day flying these models in dedication and remembrance of all those who flew them in various wars . Some of these aircraft are 1/5 and 1/6 full size and Fokker D 8 is 3/4 full size and the owner actually flys IN IT. All look so very realistic in the air in fitting tribute to their full size predecessors. This year was our record year with over 30 warbirds present. Below is just a sample of our day long event.
